Why and What of the Member Mission Network, Inc.
A Summary of the Business Plan
What is member mission?
Member mission teaches the baptized to see themselves as missionaries out in the world in each of their daily places which are their daily “mission fields” – home, work, the local community, the wider world, their leisure time, and their church life. With Jesus help and guidance, they seek to love lovingly and justly in each place. Today, they are the most effective agents God’s mission in Jesus Christ. To live this way, they need support and education. Therefore, congregations need to take on as their primary purpose, or one of their primary purposes, supporting their members in their daily living as Christians. After the furor of the past decade so fixed on the church, we now focus on God=s mission and have a way for the whole church to move forward.
Thus, member mission meets the desire of every church leader's heart for a way to help the baptized to live out their role in God's mission daily from Monday to Sunday. We've had enough experience to know that it works. It's time for member mission to address the whole church!
