A way to live on mission everywhere:
In all of your life, do what is right even when it goes against current customs or religious practice.
Based on Matthew 1:18-25
A way to live on mission in your leisure time based on Matthew 1:18-25, a reading from The Revised Common Lectionary for the Forth Sunday of Advent, 12/18/16. Engaged to Joseph, Mary finds she is pregnant from the Holy Spirit. Meant to break the engagement by custom, Joseph plans to do it quietly. However, an angel came to him in a dream saying fear not and take Mary as your wife because the child is conceived by the Holy Spirit. She will have a son and Joseph is to name him Jesus. Jesus means God saves and Jesus will free the people from their sins. All this fulfilled a prophecy about the son of a virgin to be called Emmanuel which means “God is with us.” Joseph obeys the angel, marries Mary, and has no relations with her until her son is born and named Jesus.
A theme: What is right can go beyond current religious practice.
