A way to live a mission in your community:
When loving events occur in your community, see them as works of the risen Jesus.

A way to live a mission in your community based on John 20:1-8, a reading from the Revised Common Lectionary for Easter Day, 4/16/17. On the first day of the week [our Sunday], Mary came to the tomb and found the stone had been removed. She ran to Peter and another disciple and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb and we do not know where they have laid him.” The two ran to the tomb. The other disciple saw the linen wrapping lying inside. Peter went in; saw the wrapping and saw the one that had been on Jesus’ head rolled up by itself. Then the other disciple looked in and also believed the tomb was empty. [The empty tomb was a fact. Many reasons for its emptiness were given. Some said that the body had been stolen. The followers of Jesus said that Jesus had been raised from the dead because he had appeared to them.]
A theme: The tomb was empty because God had raised Jesus from the dead.
