A way to live a mission in your work:
Wherever you go, go in peace and humility; do not go claiming power over all the people you meet.
Based on Matthew 21:1-11
A way to live a mission in your work based on Matthew 21:1-11, a reading from the Revised Common Lectionary for Palm Sunday, 4/9/17. Jesus and his disciples reach Jerusalem. He sends two of them to find a colt and a donkey to ride into the city. His instructions include a prophecy from Zechariah 9:9-12 that the king will come riding these two humble beasts. The colt and donkey are prepared and he mounts one of them. The crowd lays down their cloaks and tree branches for Jesus to ride on. The crowd cheers, “The one who comes in the name of the Lord.” The whole city is stirred up asking, “Who is this?” The crowd answers, “This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee.”
A theme: Jesus comes on a beast of peace; not on the horse of a king but on a humble donkey.
