A way to live a mission with your friends:
Be honest with your friends so they can trust what you say and what you do.
Based on John 14:1-14
A way to live a mission with your friends based on John 14:1-14, a reading from the Revised Common Lectionary for the Fifth Sunday of Easter, 5/14/17. Jesus has foretold his arrest and death. He reassures the twelve that he goes to prepare a place for them. He will come again and take them to himself to a place they know. Thomas says, “They do not know the way.” Jesus answers that he is the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except thru him. If they know Jesus, they know the Father. Philip asks to be shown the Father. Jesus answers that those who have seen him have seen the Father. Jesus says that he is in the Father and the Father is him. If they do not believe because of his words, they should believe because of his works. In fact, they will do greater works than he has done. Whatever they ask in Jesus’ name, he will do for them.
