[A way to live a mission in the wider world based on a reading from the Revised Common Lectionary for The Seventh Sunday after Pentecost, 7/3/16. Jesus sends out seventy to tell others to join the “harvest.” They will be in danger. He advises, “Travel light.” Call for peace in every home. Stay where others share your peace. Eat what is given to you. Cure the sick. Say, “The kingdom of God has come to you.” As for those who do not welcome you, shake their dust off your feet. Still tell them, “The kingdom of God has come near.”
